The seizure of Makfa’s assets as part of a claim by the Prosecutor General’s Office for the transfer of shares to state income led to a ban on transactions with foreign counterparties, said lawyer Igor Trunov. In his opinion, because of this, production may stop.

“The most painful thing in this situation is that arrests were imposed on accounts and prohibited money transfers and transactions with foreign companies that are part of the Makfa company,” said Mr. Trunov “RIA News”.

The lawyer noted that the factory “works on Croatian film” and it is impossible to pay for it. Some ingredients, such as olive oil, are purchased in Greece. “This is all blocked, this leads to the fact that all enterprises will stop,” says Mr. Trunov. In his opinion, all this will lead to an increase in product prices, and the loss on average per month will be about 1 billion rubles.

At the end of March “Kommersant” became knownthat the Prosecutor General’s Office decided to convert the shares of the country’s largest pasta manufacturer, Makfa JSC, into state income. This company and a dozen other enterprises, including Smak and Chelyabinskoblgaz, are believed by the supervisor to be of corruption origin, since their beneficiaries, former governor of the Chelyabinsk region Mikhail Yurevich and former deputy Vadim Belousov, were engaged in business as representatives of state authorities.

About the seizure of assets – in the material “Kommersant” “There are horns and pasta left”.
