In cooperation with the federal center, the problems with the lack of funds for mobilizing the population of the regions of Russia can be resolved, said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian president. He called the mobilization activities an “additional burden” on regional budgets.

“These are additional costs. A lot of development programs work in the regions, and there is a big burden on regional budgets. Now there is an additional burden,” Mr. Peskov commented on the question of “Kommersant FM” about the complaints of the Omsk administration about the budget deficit, which does not allow the implementation of mobilization measures.

Former Governor of the Omsk Region declaredthat the financial capabilities of the region do not allow approving payments to Omsk mobilized people following the example of other Siberian subjects. He clarified that the budget deficit in the Omsk region is more than 13 billion rubles.
