The Italian authorities will not interfere with the participation of Russian fencers in the World Championship

The Italian government will allow Russian fencers to take part in the 2023 World Championship. This was stated by the President of the National Olympic Committee of Italy and a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Giovanni Malago, reports OA Sport.

According to Malago, by now all documents have been signed for the admission of athletes from Russia and Belarus to participate in the upcoming sports competitions in Italy.

At the same time, it is specified that Russian and Belarusian athletes will perform in a neutral status.
