An immunologist assessed the possibility of postponing the death of Queen Elizabeth II
Candidate of Medical Sciences, immunologist, assessed the possibility of postponing the death of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. Lenta.ru writes about this.
The specialist, commenting on the memoirs of former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, said that one should be skeptical about the fact that a person can postpone his death until he completes his affairs.
Medicine cannot predict the date of death, the expert noted. But, according to him, the risks of death over a certain period of time for certain diseases can be predicted.
If the information about the queen’s malignant tumor is reliable, then doctors, with the help of palliative care, could prolong Elizabeth II’s life and improve its quality, the doctor added.
Johnson previously stated in his memoirs that in the last months of her life, Elizabeth II deliberately postponed her death in order to transfer power.
A person can mobilize himself, but to what exact extent this is possible and for how long is unknown to science, the immunologist concluded.
