The head of the Russian Association of Electronic Communications became the CEO of “Digital Economy”

Sergey Plugotarenko, head of the Russian Association for Electronic Communications (RAEC), has been appointed General Director of ANO Tsifrovaya ekonomika. The decision was unanimously adopted following the results of the meeting of the founders.
“Sergey is well known both among the business IT community and in government. He knows how to properly build communications, convey ideas and proposals, form industry positions,” said Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ANO Dmitry Chernyshenko. Mr. Plugotarenko will replace Yevgeny Kovnir, who has led the organization since its inception in 2017. At the moment, the duties of the head are temporarily performed by Dmitry Ter-Stepanov.
The founders of ANO Tsifrovaya ekonomika are the Russian government, as well as companies from various fields (1C, VTB, VK, MTS, Rosnano, Ozon and others). ANO is the organizer of a number of projects, such as “Lesson of numbers”, “Day of numbers”, “Digital pumping” and others. “Digital sandboxes” will be organized on the site of the “Digital Economy”.
