Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security Viktor Bondarev (United Russia) sees no need for a new wave of partial mobilization. He stated this in broadcast TV channel “Russia 24”.

“There is a Constitution, there are laws that define the rights and duties of both the Ministry of Defense and the President. This is the prerogative of the President and the Ministry of Defense on conscription,” he answered the interviewer’s question whether there is a possibility of a second wave of partial mobilization in the near future.

As Viktor Bondarev noted, some citizens raise the topic of mobilization in order to “excite the people, sow discontent.” “The country’s leadership did not hide and does not hide, and it will bring it to light if it is necessary, but so far there is no need for this issue,” the senator said, the issues of participation of the mobilized have been determined, he noted.

“I personally don’t see any questions in the next mobilization, indefinite or short-term or unexpected,” Viktor Bondarev stressed.

Partial mobilization in Russia has been carried out since September 21. The Ministry of Defense stated that 300 thousand people were drafted into the army. 31 October President Vladimir Putin announced on the completion of the draft in the framework of partial mobilization. As a result of consultations with lawyers in the Kremlin came to the conclusion that a decree on the completion of partial mobilization is not required.
