New EU sanctions against Russia will lead to the fact that the country will not receive additional income in the amount of about 7 billion euros, this assumption was made by the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen during a press conference in Brussels.

“We propose to introduce a new ban on the import of Russian products. Thus, goods from Russia will not be presented on the European market, which will deprive the Russian Federation of additional income in the amount of 7 billion euros, ”she noted (cit. according to TASS).

In addition, the European Commission proposed to ban EU citizens from holding positions in the management bodies of Russian state-owned companies, as well as to expand the list of goods prohibited for export in the aviation industry and electronic components, chemicals.

The EU decided to introduce new sanctions against Russia because of the referendums that took place from 23 to 27 September in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (DNR and LNR), Kherson region and part of Zaporozhye.
