The head of Energodar Alexander Volga said that at the moment the Russian military is in full control of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and the territory of the city, a breakthrough of Ukrainian militants in this direction is impossible.

According to him, any offensive actions of the Ukrainian military will be complicated by the presence of a water barrier – the Dnieper.

“In principle, we do not consider a situation in which the Ukrainian military will be able to break into the territory of Energodar in the direction of the ZNPP and its infrastructure,” Volga said.

He clarified that the combat units that are engaged in the protection of Energodar and the Zaporizhzhya NPP are always in a combat state and conduct surveillance.

“We understand that under such circumstances, the offensive or attack of these objects is practically reduced to zero,” Volga stressed.
