The head of Dagestan apologized for calls to appear at the military registration and enlistment office through loudspeakers
The head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, commented in his Telegram channel video footage that circulated today on social networks, which showed a car of the city administration for civil defense and emergency situations driving around Derbent. With the help of a loudspeaker attached to it, an order was announced for all male citizens to urgently appear at the local military registration and enlistment office with a passport and a military ID.
“Make a fool pray to God - he will hurt his forehead! - Sergei Melikov expressed his attitude to the local initiative. - This is just about a strange decision taken in Derbent: in the city they called to come to the military registration and enlistment office with the help of loudspeakers. The organizers themselves call this an additional measure of informing citizens. And for me - utter stupidity!
The head of the republic asked the "dear Derbents" for forgiveness "for this trick." He instructed the responsible persons to urgently investigate the situation and "take the most stringent measures against the perpetrators."
Even before the appearance of the commentary of the head of the republic, local authorities first briefed citizens that “a call to appear at the military enlistment office, of course, does not mean being sent to the NVO zone”, and then they informed that “the wording of the notification through loudspeakers in Derbent about the call to come to the military registration and enlistment office will be changed.”
In Dagestan, several unauthorized actions against mobilization took place earlier.
