Today, the head coach of the Torpedo International Football Club and the head coach of the Russian national futsal team, Konstantin Mayevsky, is celebrating his 43rd birthday.

Konstantin Viktorovich Mayevsky was born on October 5, 1979 in Moscow. A professional football player - a futsal player, known for playing for the Moscow clubs Dynamo and CSKA, as well as for the Russian national futsal team. Honored Master of Sports of Russia.

He started playing football at the age of 5 at the Moscow Torpedo school. Mayevsky's first season in the elite of Russian futsal was the 1997/98 season for the Chertanovo team, at the same time he scored his first goals in the championship for the team. "Chertanovo" took the last place and dropped to the First League. Mayevsky remained in the team for another season, after which he moved to another club of the second-level division, Inteko. Soon he returned to the big leagues, becoming a player in CSKA Moscow, where he spent two and a half seasons and became one of the team leaders. With his game, he attracted the attention of the coach of the Russian national team Evgeny Lovchev. On November 5, 2002, he made his debut for the national team in the qualifying match of the European Championship against the Israeli national team.

In January 2003, Mayevsky moved to the newly created Dynamo club. Already in his debut season, Dynamo became the champions of Russia, and Mayevsky, in terms of the total performance for CSKA and Dynamo, was recognized as the best defender of the Russian championship.

Mayevsky became the champion of Russia six times and won the Russian Cup five times. In the 2005/06 and 2008/09 seasons, he was again recognized as the best defender of the Russian championship. Participated in European Cup matches, including the victorious UEFA Cup 2006/07.

In the 2003/04 season, he entered the top seven scorers of the championship with 33 goals scored.

In 2005, he entrenched himself in the Russian national team and became part of the European Championship. The Russians won silver medals at the tournament, and Mayevsky scored a goal against the Czech team. At the next European Championship, the Russians won bronze medals, with Mayevsky scoring against Spain. He was also noticeable at the 2008 World Cup, where he scored five goals.

In the summer of 2010 Maevsky returned to CSKA. In early 2012, he overtook Konstantin Eremenko and Temur Alekberov in terms of the number of matches played for the national team, becoming the absolute record holder for this indicator.
