Knowledge League

The grand final of the first season of the All-Russian quiz “League of Knowledge” took place in the capital. 48 teams from 16 Russian cities took part in it. For two hours, the teams answered tricky quiz questions, looked for non-standard solutions to non-standard situations, shone with erudition in various fields – science, culture, history, geography, literature, television, sports, and also demonstrated successful examples of team brainstorming and the ability to take quick and risky decisions.

The winner of the competition was the team “Nimble Chanterelles” from St. Petersburg. The second place was taken by the team “First Team” from Moscow. The third were the guys from the Bonnie and Clyde team (Balakovo).

Congratulating the winners and prize-winners of the quiz, the General Director of the Russian Society “Knowledge” Maxim Dreval noted that many people and teams take part in the game. However, there is one big team of the “League of Knowledge”, which has rallied a huge number of talented, intelligent, erudite people.

— During the year, the League united more than 36,000 participants in almost 9,000 teams. It’s great that these are the most different ages, the most different professions and the maximum geography. We literally covered the whole country: 870 settlements are playing. And this is just the beginning, because I am happy to announce that the second season will start in October, Maxim Dreval noted.

The first ten winners of the first season will go on a “Great Journey” around Russia – this is a fully paid tour for 1-2 weeks.

We are happy to be in the top three. We had a strategy: not to take risks and just break into the top ten to get a trip, but we overdid it a little, said Rinat Sibaev, captain of the First Team from Moscow.
