Rosselkhozbank will receive additional investments in the amount of 5 billion rubles. from the country’s budget, it is said on government website Russia. The funds will be sent so that the agricultural complex can take soft loans in 2023 and develop production with this money.
“It was decided to direct additional budget investments. We are talking about 5 billion rubles. The funds allocated by government order will go to the authorized capital of the Russian Agricultural Bank – it is one of the main creditors of the domestic agricultural industry, ”the government press release says.
The government believes that the decision will help maintain the pace of technological modernization and increase production volumes. This will positively affect the provision of food security in Russia.
In September the government expanded measures to support the agro-complex. In particular, self-employed farmers will be able to get loans at a rate of 1-5% per annum. In early November, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin declared on the need to help the agricultural sector with the renewal of machinery and equipment of domestic production.
