“Today we will send almost 1.5 trillion rubles to the Pension Fund. They will be used to provide pensions to citizens in the current and next years, as well as special federal allowances for non-working pensioners whose income is below the regional subsistence level,” said Mr. Mishustin.

In addition, as the prime minister said at the meeting, the government has prepared a bill simplifying the receipt of payments to the Heroes of Russia and Heroes of Labor. Under the simplified scheme, you do not need to apply for payments and provide the necessary documents. The process will be automated through a unified system of interdepartmental electronic interaction.

As the Ministry of Labor reported, in 2021 the Pension Fund allocated more than 10 trillion rubles to support Russians, 86% of this amount went to pensions, the rest of the funds went to support families with children, payments to veterans and people with disabilities.

In July, President Vladimir Putin signed the law on merging the Pension Fund and the Social Insurance Fund into a single Pension and Social Insurance Fund from 2023.
