The government has published a list of valid reasons for non-appearance at the military registration and enlistment office when receiving a summons. Among them is disability associated with illness or injury.
What other reasons are considered valid:
- Severe health condition or funeral of a father, mother, wife, husband, child, brother or sister, grandfather, grandmother or adoptive parent of a citizen.
- An obstacle “arising as a result of force majeure”, or a circumstance that does not depend on the will of a citizen. For example, a natural disaster.
- Other reasons that will be recognized as valid by the draft board.
The citizen must document a valid reason for non-attendance. After that, he must appear at the military registration and enlistment office without additional summons.
Partial mobilization has been carried out in Russia since September 21. The Ministry of Defense claims that it is planned to call up 300,000 reservists. By data departments, more than 200 thousand people were called up in two weeks.
