The government increased funding for the agro-industrial complex to 380 billion rubles

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that in 2022, as part of state support for the agro-industrial complex, the government financed the industry in the amount of 380 billion rubles. This is 35% more than was provided in the draft budget.

“This year, more than 280 billion rubles have been provided for its implementation in the federal budget. But in a difficult situation today, state support for the industry has been increased by 35%. We were able to provide her with such resources. And, according to data as of the end of September, over 380 billion rubles have already been allocated for the implementation of the state program,” said Mikhail Mishustin, speaking at a session on food security at the Golden Autumn agricultural exhibition (quoted by Interfax).

At the same time, the prime minister noted that the sanctions do not interfere with the Russian agricultural sector. According to him, the grain harvest in 2022 will exceed the record five years ago, when more than 135 million tons were harvested. In addition, he promised to submit a draft law on the creation of a federal base for breeding animals to the State Duma by the end of the year.

Mikhail Mishustin also reported on the "strong results" of Russian agriculture. He noted that shipments abroad grew by more than 16% in eight months compared to the same period last year. “We are still among the top five countries in the export of grains and the first in wheat, we are fourth in the world in the production of meat and fifth among the exporters of vegetable oils,” the prime minister said.
