The government allocated another 50 billion rubles for the creation of the M12 federal highway. Order about this signed Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The government expects that the allocated funds will help to complete the work ahead of schedule, and the section of the route in the Moscow and Vladimir regions will be opened at the end of 2022. The total length of the route in these sections is 100 km.

The construction of M-12 is included in the federal project “Construction of highways of the international transport corridor Europe-Western China”. The highway will duplicate the M7 Volga highway. It will connect the Moscow, Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Sverdlovsk regions, as well as the Republics of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan and Chuvashia. Its design length is 830 km.

At the end of July, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Marat Khusnullin spoke, that by the end of 2022, 95 km of the Moscow-Kazan-Yekaterinburg route will be built. The main part of the route is planned to be launched by the end of 2023.
