Oscar-winning film producer Gray Frederickson has died at his home in Oklahoma. He was 85 years old. The producer's wife Karen told The Hollywood Reporter that her husband was battling prostate cancer.

Mr. Frederickson was one of the producers of the trilogy

Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather (1972, 1974, 1990). He also participated in the release of other films by the American director - Apocalypse Now (1979), From the Heart (1981), Outcasts (1983) and others. In addition, he produced the films of the wife and daughter of Mr. Coppola - Eleanor and Sofia.

Gray Frederickson won the Oscar for Best Picture for The Godfather Part II. He also claimed the same award for Apocalypse Now. In recent years, he has been listed as a producer in such films as "The whole world is at our feet" (2015, Kazakhstan), "Rats" (2015, Russia and the USA) and "Diamond Cartel" (2016, Kazakhstan).
