The fourth inhabitant of Chuvashia was found to have symptoms of anthrax, reports REN TV with a link to the source. He was taken to one of the medical institutions of the Moscow region.
According to the channel, on March 14, the man arrived in the city of Sergiev Posad near Moscow, along with his friend, who had previously been hospitalized with suspected anthrax.
March 15, head of Chuvashia Oleg Nikolaev informedthat two people were infected with anthrax in the Tsivilsky municipal district. March 17 in the village of Staroe Aktashevo introduced quarantine. According to the Investigative Committee for the Chuvash Republic, a villager slaughtered a bull-calf infected with anthrax for meat. A neighbor of the suspect, who killed a bull with him, and his wife, as well as another villager, became infected with anthrax.
After the discovery of infection in three people was initiated a criminal case under the article on violation of veterinary rules, negligently resulting in the spread of infection or other grave consequences (part 1 of article 249 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
