The first marine underwater ecotrail opened in Russia

The first marine underwater ecotrail was opened in Russia. The route was developed by the Far East Marine Reserve, which is managed by the Land of the Leopard.

The opening of the trail was officially announced by the leadership of the "Land of the Leopard" within the framework of the X Nevsky International Ecological Congress, which is taking place in St. Petersburg.

A unique eco-trail passes near the islands of the Rimsky-Korsakov archipelago. Professional divers can visit it to get acquainted with the largest octopuses in the world, puffer fish, trepangs, king crabs, triggerfish and other representatives of the reference marine nature.

The average duration of stay on the ecotrail is 5 hours. Tourists visit the trail accompanied by an experienced dive instructor, working under a cooperation agreement between the "Land of the Leopard" and a specialized dive center.

The Far Eastern Marine Reserve preserves the nature of Peter the Great Bay of the Sea of Japan. Due to the intersection of cold and warm currents, both heat-loving and cold-loving species of animals and plants are found here. All this forms unique underwater landscapes.
