The first-grader who beat the third grader “for supporting Ukraine” apologized to him

The incident that happened last Sunday in the small town of Nolinsk, Kirov Region, could be called with a political connotation, if it were not for the participation of children. But it really caused a huge public outcry! Third-grader Seryozha (names and surnames have been changed, author) during the day, as usual, rode on the city hill, on his cheesecake. Suddenly, local children began to “cling” to him, who did not like the color of this cheesecake in blue and yellow – like the flag of Ukraine. All participants in the conflict were interviewed by MK.

“I assure you, this story has absolutely no political overtones! – Elena Gubina, head teacher for educational work of secondary school Nolinsk, told. – Yesterday, the inspector of the juvenile department called me and told me about the incident. I figured it out right away. The injured boy is a student of our school, he is from the third grade. Yes, the boy went for a walk on Sunday, rode a cheesecake, there were a lot of guys there. When they saw that his cheesecake was blue and yellow, first-grader Ilya (he is seven years old) spat on the hill and began to call him “Ukrainian”, and then hit him in the face with a damp mitten. There were no fights as such. Serezha came home, told his mother about everything, and she posted it all on social networks. And yesterday both boys were in my office, they reconciled, extended their hand to each other. The younger one, who is the offender, said so in front of my eyes: “Forgive me, forgive me!”. Due to his age, he most likely does not understand the seriousness of his act. Both cried – one when he told how it was, the other because he had done something, and he would be scolded. He even said: “Come on, I’ll pay you a fine, if necessary, I won’t do it again!”. Both boys, by the way, come from good families.

Where did it come from? Why? Yes, this is the situation in the country now, alas. The only thing I don’t know is why Serezha’s mother posted all this on social networks. It is necessary to extinguish all this, our children are not like that! There is no such enmity either because of Ukraine, or between children either. Our children are all good!

“MK” talked with the mother of the injured third-grader Sergei Elena.

– My Seryozha today had a scratch on his face, but a bruise appeared under his eye. The mitten with which Ilya hit him was damp and icy. My son told me everything. On that day, he went to our hill, it is in our city, one might say, one of a kind, and all the children gather there. He was riding on his cheesecake, and suddenly the boys began to pester him. He tried to negotiate with them, did not understand why they pestered him, and then this boy Ilya went to fight. In our family, this is under a big ban (I bring up my son like this: “you never have the right to wave your arms, you can only defend yourself, and then, if due to circumstances, and not with blows”). Yes, it’s true that that boy started shouting to Serezha: “Are you supporting Ukraine?” But my father and I bought this cheesecake a year ago, we chose the cheapest one, from us, in the city store. He rides on it for the second winter. Here is the boy to the coloring and clung. I was very amazed by this: I wonder what colors this child knows of the Russian flag? Where does the information in the head of such a kid come from that this is the flag of Ukraine? I know that there were two older boys with him, and one of them encouraged the boy, and he just started repeating!

Why did you post this on social media? And a photo of him with a bruise?

– Yesterday I explained to the investigator that it was not to show how bad children we have in the city. No! I was simply amazed that all this, this war, reached our small town. That the children have such a fantasy played out. This post of mine was like a warning to other parents – today he got under the eye, and tomorrow what? Serezha has a winter jacket of the same rich blue color and orange mittens. And what? If I take my son out into the street tomorrow, it’s not clear what and what other child will come up with. Like, ah – you are the enemy! They will take a stone or something … That is, I posted this in our local chat with the goal that parents talk to their children and think about what they have in mind, what interests them, so that they know about them, how they spent the day, what they did and so Further. Only in this regard. Like a warning.

– Will you hold the parents of that little boy accountable?

– Of course not! The next day, I suggested to Serezha after the lessons to go to this hill, where everything happened. I have already found out that the first grader was persuaded to such an act by older boys. I wanted to find them and talk to their parents. And it turned out that in the morning I got a call from the Inspectorate for Juvenile Affairs, and everything began to spin. The hype has risen. I didn’t expect that. I will not involve anyone, especially since there is a small child here. You just need to have conversations with parents, in schools, and so on. Well, in the future, now I will think about what to write and whether it is worth it.

Irina, the mother of the first-grader Ilya, who hit Sergei in the face with an ice mitten, is very worried and has been crying for the second day.

– Yesterday we talked with the parents of the injured boy. His mother wrote a statement that she has no claims against us. My son is very small, he himself was very frightened, because he was interrogated yesterday, and they will also be interrogated in the investigative committee. According to Ilyusha, before that they played ball with Serezha, and then something happened, that boy began to ride on a cheesecake, and mine began to call him Ukrainians and gave him a wet glove, which was covered in snow, on the cheek. Ilya himself is now closed, does not say anything at all. He clearly did not realize at all what he was saying then.

– Where did he get this word “Ukrainian”, because, as you say, he is quite small?

– I learned from the news, it turns out. In the afternoon, after school, he stays with his grandparents, then he goes to football training, and only then home to teach lessons. My parents watch the news all the time, and especially politics, and we don’t turn on the TV at all at home. How not to worry now! The boy has no idea what Ukraine is, a special operation and what the Ukrainian flag looks like. He probably learned from the news, because children absorb everything like sponges. And also, as I found out, there really were older guys on the hill that day, they were the first to shout “look, he rides on the Ukrainian flag!”. They encouraged Ilya, so he began to repeat! It’s very hard for me now (crying), I don’t know how it will all end. I talked to him yesterday: imagine that mom, for example, put on a yellow T-shirt, so what? Mom from Ukraine, or what?! But he doesn’t realize it. He doesn’t understand what he’s done.

“A message about this conflict was registered in the inter-municipal police department in Nolinsk. The participants in the incident were identified and interviewed. An inspection is underway, preventive work will be carried out,” the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told MK.
