The People’s Democratic Patriotic Party “Auyl” (Selo) nominated the former head of the Union of Farmers of the Republic Zhiguli Dairabayev as a candidate for the presidency of Kazakhstan.

He currently holds the post of Chairman of the Committee of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Presidium of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken”. Thus, he became the country’s first candidate for the presidency of Kazakhstan.

Extraordinary presidential elections in the republic will be held on November 20.

Earlier, amendments to the Constitution were adopted in Kazakhstan, according to which the same person can hold the post of president of the country for only one term within seven years. The current head of Kazakhstan is Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
