31 teams of finalists take part in the festival, which submitted their projects to the competition, dedicated to preserving the memory of the heroes and outstanding events of the Great Patriotic War.
The winners of the festival will be determined in six thematic areas: “Archival documents and periodicals”, “Sources of personal origin”, “Works of art of the war years”, “Military chronicle and domestic cinema of the post-war years”, “Commemorative objects”, “Results of citizens’ surveys” .
According to the organizers of the festival, archival documents are being declassified within the framework of the project, field work is being carried out, educational events and scientific conferences are being held, schoolchildren and students are taking part in real cases as volunteers, members of the search movement. The works of the winners and prize-winners of the festival will be used in the expositions of the Museum of Victory on Poklonnaya Hill.
