The expert told how scammers steal money through QR codes

Timur Aitov, Deputy Chairman of the Commission on Digital Financial Technologies of the Council of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, told how fraudsters can steal money from Russians who buy goods using QR codes.
Expert referred to “Radio Sputnik“, said that this practice is already common in China.
As Aitov said, sometimes scammers photograph the QR code of buyers with a special camera if they prepared it in advance in line at the cashier.
If the QR code is on the side of the seller, a label can be pasted over the QR code to pay for the goods, upon scanning which the money goes to the person who pasted it.
