Shamil Magomedov, head of the Department of Intelligent Information Security Systems of the Institute of Cybersecurity and Digital Technologies of the RTU MIREA, said in an interview with the Prime agency that a smartphone can be hacked through its “infection” with malicious software.

According to him, the incorrect operation of familiar applications can be a wake-up call. In particular, applications can close and open on their own, as well as give errors in operation.

“Among other things, signs of hacking can be the consumption of mobile traffic and the independent life of a smartphone. Malware can be detected by checking the operation of applications in the settings or antivirus, as well as checking the consumption of mobile Internet,” Magomedov said.

He added that if any of the above signs are found, you should immediately contact the service, since fraudsters can gain access to the online bank and other personal information.
