The security forces from the Armed Forces of Ukraine were not allowed to feed and treat Russian prisoners of war. This was told by a former employee of the pre-trial detention center of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) in the territory of the Donetsk region controlled by Kyiv.

According to her, for showing mercy, the employees of the pre-trial detention center were deprived of their salaries.

Russian prisoners of war began to enter the isolation ward on March 15. Most of them were transported heavily beaten.

“We were not allowed to communicate with them, neither to let in a balander (a food peddler), nor to approach them ourselves, nor to give them cigarettes,” said an employee of the agency.

She also stated that medical assistance could not be provided to them. And so it went on for weeks. They were given stew only for information.

Once a woman decided to feed the soldiers with her food, for this she was deprived of her salary, later the prisoners of war were taken out of the pre-trial detention center, and Ukrainians who refused to serve were sent to the cells
