The European Union has decided to impose restrictive measures against the Russian Federation due to referendums in the DPR and LPR, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, said French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna.
“As stated earlier, sanctions will be applied to Russia for organizing referendums,” the head of the French Foreign Ministry shared the details.
As the diplomat noted, consultations on the introduction of a new package of sanctions against Russia are already underway in the European Union. According to her, it will contain measures against those responsible for organizing referendums, and will also affect those areas that were not previously covered by restrictions.
