The DPR reported about Leopard tanks in the Artemovsk area

Leopard tanks spotted near Artemovsk in the DPR. This was announced by the adviser to the acting head of the region, Yan Gagin, on the air of the Russia 1 TV channel.

“There were statements that “Leopards” appeared in the Artemovsk area. This is the same armored target, like all the others, ”he said.

Gagin noted that the spring thaw will make it difficult to move heavy vehicles, in particular, Leopard tanks. In his opinion, it has already become clear that Ukraine has lost control over Artemivsk, the only question is when this will happen. Gagin also pointed to problems with the supply of garrisons of Ukrainian troops.

January 25 Germany announced on the delivery of 14 Leopard 2 tanks to Kyiv. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius specified that the first military equipment would arrive in Ukraine in late March – early April. Poland, Finland, Norway, Portugal, Spain and the Netherlands also announced plans to transfer tanks to Kyiv. In addition, the UK announced the shipment of its Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine, and the US – M1 Abrams.

February 24 Polish Minister of Defense Mariusz Blaszczak announcedthat Warsaw sent Kyiv the first of the promised 14 tanks. According to him, they are already on the territory of Ukraine.

The Russian authorities have repeatedly criticized the supply of Western weapons to Kyiv. In the Kremlin declaredthat the Leopard and Abrams tanks will burn down just like the rest of Western military equipment. Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev emphasizedthat tanks will not save Ukraine, and State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin predicted them the fate of the fascist “Tigers”. According to him, the weapons will be destroyed.
