The crazy Brad Pitt and his Bullet Train walk on the French box office


The action film punctuated with gags and dark humor reigns in theaters; The Minions, Thor and Top Gun cling.

The action movie Bullet Train with Brad Pitt, punctuated with gags and black humor, sped towards the head of the box office for its release in France, according to figures published Wednesday by CBO-Box-Office. Adaptation of a successful Japanese novel, the feature film depicts seven murderers, more or less pursued by bad luck, who try to liquidate themselves on a high-speed train between Tokyo and Kyoto.

Starring Brad Pitt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Sandra Bullock, Bullet Train brought together more than 460,000 spectators. The film was also very well received by American audiences, where it earned $30.1 million for its first weekend in theaters.

Then come the brats of animation, Minions 2: Once Upon a Time Gru, which bring together more than 250,000 spectators for their 5th week of operation. Two other blockbusters Thor: Love and Thunder and Krypto and the Super Animalsaimed at young audiences, take over the summer rankings, in 3rd and 4th place respectively. Top Gun: Maverickwhich has long hovered over the rankings with Tom Cruise at the helm, now finds itself nailed to 5th place in the rankings, with more than 165,000 entries in its 11th week of operation.
