According to the researchers, this phenomenon may be associated with a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions during quarantine, as human activity during this period decreased significantly, which led to a decrease in the heat generated by the atmosphere.
During the study, scientists analyzed temperature data on the Moon from 2017 to 2023 and identified an anomalous decrease in temperature in the interval from April to May 2020.
