The Commission recognized the possible completion of the corvette “Agile” after the fire

The commission to identify the causes and consequences of the fire on the Provorny corvette considers it possible to complete the ship at Severnaya Verf, said Vladimir Korolev, deputy general director of the United Shipbuilding Corporation for military shipbuilding. The commission included representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and specialized organizations.
“The main conclusion was made about the possibility of completing the ship. We will complete the construction and hand it over to the Navy,” said Mr. Korolev TASS.
The Provorny corvette is a project 20385 guided missile ship, the second corvette in the series. It was laid down on July 25, 2013. After the construction is completed, the corvette should become part of the flotilla of the Russian Navy’s Pacific Fleet, based in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
The transfer of the Agile fleet was scheduled for the end of 2022. However, at the end of 2021, it will happened fire. Three rescuers were injured. New chart suggests the transfer of the Provorny corvette to the Navy in 2024.
