The chief Ukrainian intelligence officer promised to reach the "borders of 1991" after the winter

The end of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine should be expected after the end of winter, by which time the Ukrainian troops will reach the "borders of 1991," said Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate.

“It will be over soon. In winter, the war will subside to a greater extent. And now, after the winter, the end of this conflict will begin with the first stage reaching the administrative borders as of 1991,” he said.

At the same time, Budanov said that "there will be no nuclear strike by Russia on Ukraine."

Earlier, Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine, said that Ukraine could join NATO as early as July next year at a summit in Vilnius. At the same time, he acknowledged that for this it is still necessary to have time to obtain from NATO the status of a candidate for joining the alliance.
