The Chelyabinsk region will host the Russian Women’s Water Polo Championship

In Zlatoust on October 4, a new water polo championship of Russia among women’s teams of the 2022/23 season will begin. The competitions will be held at the Uralochka Olympic Training Center. 6 teams will fight for the title of champions of Russia. These are athletes from Kazakhstan, Spartak Volgograd, Burevestnik from Nizhny Novgorod, Yugra, Dynamo-Uralochka and its promising double.
Athletes from Zlatoust start the new Championship with a victorious mood. Water polo players had a great summer and September. The Dynamo-Uralochka team prepared well and won two serious tournaments.
The first All-Russian Spartakiad of the strongest took place in Moscow. The best teams of the regions of the country participated in the competition. The team of the Chelyabinsk region was formed on the basis of Uralochka and passed the entire tournament path without defeat. In the final, our athletes confidently beat the strong team of Moscow. The score was 9:5.
Later, the traditional “Cup of the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region” was held in Zlatoust. Six of the strongest teams in Russia competed for the main prize. The victory was won by the athletes of Dynamo-Uralochka. They won four matches out of four, including the final against the team of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The score was 16:5.
Now the team has to prove itself in the new Russian Championship.
