The publication clarifies that the representatives of the Central Bank of Russia and Turkey held a meeting yesterday, October 4. The parties have "made progress" on the use of the Troy system, Aydnlk's sources say. “With the approval of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, if Russian banks not subject to US sanctions accept Troy or open accounts with Turkish banks operating in Russia and receive a card integrated with Troy, Russian tourists can make purchases with these cards in Turkey,”— writes the publication.

A model is also being considered by which tourists will be able to pay for accommodation and transport from their countries through an online system. Details of this scheme are not given. As of March 2022, there are over 12 million Troy cards in circulation.
