In general, the Cabinet will have to allocate 22 billion rubles for the construction of ships.

“After the construction is completed, JSC State Transport Leasing Company will lease the ships to large Russian companies on preferential terms. The decision made will allow increasing the volume of freight and passenger traffic and updating the country’s flotilla,” the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers notes.

Cargo ships are planned to be launched in 2025, and passenger ships – a year later.
