The authorities of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania have stated that they may restrict entry by car for citizens without a local residence permit.

The statement says that such decisions can be made due to the accumulation of transit vehicles heading to the border of the Russian Federation and Georgia.

The local government also stated that at the Verkhny Lars checkpoint they would hand out subpoenas to everyone who is subject to conscription. Earlier it was reported that only residents of the region would mobilize the representatives of the military registration and enlistment offices sent there before the Georgian border.
