Mountain Peaks LLC filed a petition with the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) to obtain a preliminary consent for the purchase of the Arkhyz resort. This is stated in the message of the FAS. Their owner and CEO Andrey Skok, whom market participants call the asset manager of the family of the former governor of the Krasnodar Territory and former Minister of Agriculture Alexander Tkachev.

For example, until 2021, Skok managed the Chateau de Talu winery in Gelendzhik, which belongs to Olga Tkachev’s wife. Now the businessman owns the Yug-Business Partner company, which includes the Crimean Winery, the Sochi Park Hotel, the Sochi Park amusement park, the Adler breeding trout farm, the Five Development development company (formerly Mantera, it has there is a project to build an amusement park on Russky Island with a budget of 32 billion rubles), specializing in resort real estate.

All these assets are also associated with the Tkachev family, the consultants said earlier. The former governor of the Krasnodar Territory is also called the owner of another resort – Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi. All these connections, in particular, were reported by the Kommersant newspaper and the Expert Yug publication. It was not possible to contact Skok and Tkachev himself. A representative of Five Development declined to comment, a representative of the Agrocomplex named after the former governor of the Krasnodar Territory. N. I. Tkacheva said that the company was not involved in the acquisition of the Arkhyz resort.

The Arkhyz resort, located in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, belongs to the state company Kavkaz.RF JSC. The latter’s CEO, Khasan Timizhev, says that the state has already invested 23 billion rubles in this project. With this money, 27 km of ski slopes, eight cable cars, more than 2,000 accommodation places were built. In 2021, the resort received 693,000 tourists.
