The Accounts Chamber found a delay in the construction of more than half of budget facilities in 2022

The Accounts Chamber conducted an audit of the implementation of the budget by the Single Customer in the Construction Industry in 2022. From published June 1 report It follows that more than half of the budget facilities have increased the time of commissioning.

According to the program for 2022 and the planning period of 2023-2024, out of 148 objects for which the Single Customer in the Construction Industry is responsible, the deadlines for 81 objects were missed. The terms of commissioning have increased from one to four years.

“The main reason is the violation by contractors of the essential terms of contracts,” the Accounting Board report says.

Under the federal targeted investment program, out of 20 facilities, 11 were commissioned in 2022. At the same time, seven of them were to be commissioned in 2021. The number of abandoned properties under construction in 2022 increased from two to six.
