Tambov women brought bronze from the All-Russian Open Summer Spartakiad. Volleyball competitions were held in Orel.
Participants were teenagers aged 14-15 from all over Russia. Representatives of the Tambov, Omsk, Orenburg, Chelyabinsk, Nizhny Novgorod regions, the Republic of Chuvashia, the Krasnodar Territory and other regions fought for victory.
Pupils of the volleyball department of the Youth Sports School of the Science City acted from the Tambov region. Michurinsk teams in the preliminary games won against rivals from Omsk, Orenburg, Kursk and Oryol regions. This allowed them to advance to the semi-finals of the competition.
Michurinsk volleyball players beat athletes from the Nizhny Novgorod region with a score of 2:0. This victory brought the girls bronze medals.
