The IT integrator T1 Group will receive a five-year subsidy from the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the amount of 2.5 billion rubles, Kommersant was told in the company. It is clarified that the grant was provided for the development of software for engineering calculations of the CAE class (Computed Aided Engineering, computer engineering). “The first cash tranches have already been sent by the department to the developer,” a company representative shared. The holding expects that within five years a line of software will be created for the calculations required when creating the component base of electronics, instrument blocks, elements and even final products.

The shortage of foreign computing equipment, which has developed since the beginning of 2022 due to sanctions and other restrictions, has allowed a number of distributors and Russian IT companies to significantly increase their income, including through parallel imports, said Igor Kalganov, CEO of the group, in an interview with Kommersant. (cm. “Kommersant” from February 16). Then he argued that many niches were vacated on the market, which “needed to be occupied as quickly as possible.” This allowed the company to reach a record level of revenue in 2022, Mr. Kalganov noted.

Before the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine, the T1 group belonged to VTB, acting as an internal integrator and developer. But after VTB was sanctioned in March, the bank announced the sale of the asset without disclosing the buyer. According to Kartoteka.ru, now 69.4% of T1 LLC (the head structure) belongs to Yulia Mankos through Sirocco Technology, 30.5% belongs to the closed mutual fund Os. VTB and top managers of T1 refuse to clarify who is behind the ZPIF. Kommersant repeatedly asked T1 questions about the role of Ms. Mancos in managing the asset, but they systematically refused to answer it. At the end of 2022, the group’s revenue increased by 90%, to RUB 166.7 billion.
