The authorities of the Kursk region have expanded support measures for large families. About it informed on Telegram Governor Roman Starovoit.

In particular, now a family with three or more children under 23 who are full-time students will be considered a large family. Previously, the family retained the corresponding status only until adulthood. In addition, at the birth or adoption of a third and subsequent children, regional maternity capital of 107 thousand rubles will be provided.

According to the adopted changes to the regional law, large families in the Kursk region have the right to choose: to receive a free land plot or monetary compensation. The amount of compensation will be 200 thousand rubles. It is planned to allocate more than 1 billion rubles from the regional budget for such support.

Also, Kursk large families will have their own holiday, which will be celebrated on September 30th. In the Orthodox calendar, this is the Day of Faith, Hope, Love and their mother Sophia. Days of large families are celebrated in the Belgorod, Lipetsk and Saratov regions. Kursk authorities believe that the new holiday will help to strengthen traditional family values and promote large families.
