Students of commercial universities with state accreditation will not be called up as part of the mobilization

The head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu, said that students from commercial universities that have state accreditation will not be called up during partial mobilization.

According to him, in accordance with the presidential decree, students of state universities do not participate in the mobilization. The same applies to students of commercial universities accredited by the state.

Shoigu added that amendments to the presidential decree on partial mobilization have now been prepared. This will be introduced on October 1st.

On September 21, Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a partial mobilization in the country. As Sergei Shoigu pointed out, 300 thousand people are subject to conscription from the reserve, which corresponds to 1.1% of the country's total mobilization potential, which the head of the military department estimated at 25 million people.
