Strong alcohol sales in Russia fell by 15%



In the period from August 15 to September 15, sales of vodka and other strong alcohol decreased by 15% compared to the same period in March. The study was conducted by KonturMarket.

“Fiscal data analysts from Kontur.Market compared the March data and the period from August 15 to September 15, 2022… Sales of vodka, whiskey, rum and other strong drinks decreased by 15%,” the study says.

It is reported that if we compare Russian and imported brands, then the average price of a foreign bottle has decreased from 439 to 420 rubles, and a domestic one - 245 rubles.

In addition, it is noted that the share of foreign brands of strong alcohol slightly increased - from 14.1% to 15%, while sales of imported rum, gin and cognac decreased by 9.5% in units and by 13.4% in money.
