The Ministry of Digital Transformation reported that a service for accepting applications for a deferment from partial mobilization for IT specialists and telecom operators has started working at the State Services. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on partial mobilization on 21 September. Earlier today, September 27, Mintsifra published a list of 195 specialties in the fields of IT and communications, for which a deferment from mobilization is recommended. The department noted that in order to be exempted from conscription, it is necessary not only to find employment in an accredited IT organization, but also to perform “critical functions” in this area.
On September 23, the Ministry of Defense reported that specialists in the banking and IT sectors, mobile operators and the media would not be called up for military service.
