State Duma deputy Drapeko spoke about the mobilization of artists

As part of the partial mobilization, artists who do not have armor and delays for health reasons can be drafted into the army, the portal “Explain.rf” reported. Elena Drapeko, First Deputy Head of the Russian State Duma Committee on Culture, supported the decision in a conversation with “Gazeta.Ru”.

“Artists are the same citizens as the rest,” the parliamentarian explained. “If they have a military registration specialty, why not call them up?”

Drapeko said that at the moment she does not know of such cases, but suggested that one of the artists served in the Airborne Forces or tank units.

“It is also written there, military specialty and participation in military operations before,” the deputy noted. “It should be both.”
