The head of the Russian Ministry of Justice, Konstantin Chuichenko, is the main candidate for the post of chairman of the Accounts Chamber, Vedomosti reports, citing sources in the Russian government and the presidential administration.

The interlocutors of the publication noted that the current Minister of Justice is the most logical candidate, since he previously headed the Presidential Control Department and is familiar with the specifics of control functions.

It is also reported that the candidacies of Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Dmitry Kozak and First Vice Speaker of the State Duma Alexander Zhukov are not considered for this post.
