The social pension will be additionally indexed by 3.3% from April 1, in addition to the 10% indexation carried out in June 2022. The corresponding document is published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
“To approve the indexation coefficient from April 1, 2023 of social pensions in the amount of 1.033,” the government decree says.
Since January 1, the cost of living (PM) has increased by 3.3% to 14,375 rubles, the Ministry of Labor reported earlier. By analogy with the PM, social pensions will also increase. Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection – State Secretary Andrei Pudov specified that the social pension will increase by 13.6% over the year, its growth will exceed the actual inflation for 2022 (11.9%).
In April 2022, the social pension was indexed as planned by 8.6%, and in July an unscheduled indexation was carried out by another 10%. The amount of the pension depends on the basis on which it is awarded.
