Sochi hockey players lost in the first home match of the season

Hockey club Sochi played its first home game in the new season of the Fonbet KHL Championship. On the ice of the Bolshoi, Sergei Zubov's charges suffered a heavy defeat to Chelyabinsk's Traktor.

The visitors scored a goal each in the first two periods. At the beginning of the third, Sochi conceded while playing in the majority – 0:3 in the 45th minute. In the 55th minute, the “leopards” had a chance to save themselves when Michal Krysztof scored, but soon the hosts conceded again while playing in the minority.

The result was a 1:4 defeat, the second in a row.

"Unfortunately, we did not show the hockey that we had expected and prepared the guys for. Of course, we need to improve our game in many areas, including the majority," said Sergei Zubov, head coach of Sochi, after the game.

The team will also play its next match at home – today, September 16, against Nizhny Novgorod’s Torpedo (0+).

Previously "MK in Sochi" wrotethat two players from HC Sochi were not offered a full contract.
