Smolensk hosted an international veteran table tennis tournament

On the basis of the Smena sports and recreation complex in Krasny Bor, an international table tennis tournament was held, organized by the Table Tennis Federation of the Smolensk Region. The most experienced athletes entered the fight – veterans who devoted most of their lives to tennis.
The age of participants reached 80 years. Over the years, sports veterans have gained valuable experience, honed skills and mastery, which they demonstrated at the tournament.
The tournament was attended by 140 athletes from 20 regions of Russia and the Republic of Belarus, among which are winners and prize-winners of competitions at the All-Russian and world levels.
This “trial” tournament of veterans, according to the chief judge of the tournament Elena Marchenko, may well become traditional in Smolensk.
