At the Oktyabrskaya-Yuzhnaya mine, located in the Yagodinka farm in the Rostov region, smoke occurred due to a disruption in the operation of the electrical substation. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, at that moment there were ten people there. They all evacuated on their own.
“According to updated information, there was a violation in the operation of the electrical substation in the Oktyabrskaya-Yuzhnaya mine without subsequent burning. In connection with the smoke, the employees of the mine were evacuated. There were no collapses of the rock, ”the message says (quote from TASS).
As TASS was specified in the Ministry of Information Policy and Mass Communications of the region, smoke in the mine occurred at 05:30 (coincides with Moscow time). Initially, it was assumed that the cause of the emergency was the collapse of rocks. Currently, the work of the Oktyabrskaya-Yuzhnaya mine has been suspended.
