Senior NATO official appeared in public in socks insulting Russians

Director of the NATO Strategic Communications Center in Riga, Janis Sarts, who attended the conference in Warsaw, wore a Ukrainian brand of socks with an inscription insulting Russians on the ankles.

Photos of Sarts in these socks appeared on the social networks of the Polish Ministry of National Defense, as the conference was attended by the head of the department, Mariusz Blaszczak. The NATO official was sitting on the stage, crossing his legs, showing his ankles with inscriptions.

The incident was immediately reported on the socks manufacturer's account, deciding to use the incident as free advertising. Janis Sarts confirmed in the comments that he was wearing these socks.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the end of August that the Baltic countries, Poland and the Czech Republic had become leaders in Russophobia. According to the minister, sound voices are already being heard in the rest of Europe about their readiness to meet Russia halfway, but new whims of the Europeans cannot be ruled out.
